London: Support from Emily Thornberry MP

Posted by admin on November 30, 2010

emily-thornberry.jpg"I fully support the Close the Door Campaign as global climate change is the most serious issue facing the world. This campaign not only makes a really difference to energy waste but is also raising awareness and showing that very simple actions can make a real difference. Whilst ensuring that shop doors are kept closed, this campaign inspires people to save energy in other ways, such as turning off lights when leaving the room and recycling. We should all do more to avoid excess energy consumption. Individual actions have a huge impact on energy waste and this campaign is a perfect example of that.

I encourage everyone to join me in endorsing the great work of the Close the Door Campaign."

Emily Thornberry MP (Lab) Islington South and Finsbury

Bristol and Support from Charlotte Leslie MP

Posted by admin on November 28, 2010

Charlotte Leslie MP (Con) Bristol North West endorsed us:

"I am very pleased to support the campaign. Closing the door in a shop is such a simple thing to do but it can make a huge difference to energy conservation. Shopkeepers will save on their energy bill and also do their bit to combat climate change, one of the most important challenges we face today. I will be encouraging businesses in my constituency to take part in the Close the Door Campaign with the simple message, 'close that door'!"

Phil and Sue continue to gather valuable support before the Bristol launch event in mid December! Great things are coming together there as a result of all their hard work. More news soon.
